What are read aloud eBooks?

Read aloud eBooks are a combination of an audiobook and an ebook, where the audio has been aligned with the text. When turning on read aloud in the player, the text is highlighted as it is being spoken in the audiobook.

Sinkronigo read aloud eBooks have been created using the latest speech-to-text alignment technology and our eBooks are compatible with the major epub3 players (currently Itunes, Kobo and Google). We offer two types of read aloud eBooks, reader and learner, suitable for different use cases:

• Sinkronigo learner: In these eBooks each word in the text is highlighted as it is spoken. These are perfect to learn a new language as it becomes very clear where in the audio each word starts and ends. Once the user acquires some listenning hability in the new language we recommend trying the sinkronigo reader eBooks.
• Sinkronigo reader: These eBooks highlight the text grouped in sentences as it is being narrated. This type of books are perfect for language learners with enough control of the language or for people using read aloud books for any other purposes (multisensorial experience, dyslexic people, alternating between reading and listenning, etc.).
